Preschool, Math, and Stuff

My son started preschool this week.  It’s hard to believe he’s that old already.  He went right in and stayed with his class – no tears, no fuss, no nothing.  He acted as if he’s done this a thousand times before.  When I asked him later what he learned, he told me one teacher said they had to sit on their butts on the slide.  The other teacher said they had to stay in line.  He was so adorable about it all.

I hate balancing my checkbook.  Math is not my strong suit.  Oh, sure.  It could have been had I put more effort into math, but math was not where my interests were at the time.  So, even the math for balancing my checkbook gets to be a frustration.  In this case, not because the math is difficult.  More because I don’t like math on top of issues like I had this week.  I did all of the addition and subtraction around the deposits and withdraws and the math kept coming out different every time.  Not by much, but different none the less.  I never figured out why.  Instead, I made a note of the difference and paid the bills.  Maybe I’ll figure out what the problem was next time.

Stuff.  I cannot believe how much stuff we collect some times.  Because of things like work and school, I am still trying to finish unpacking the last of the stuff from when we moved a little over a year ago.  As I have been going through stuff, I have been making a pile of things to get rid of.  That pile grew quite large before we took it to Goodwill today.  Yet, it does not seem like we’ve gotten rid of much of anything based on the pile that is left.  I plan on continuing to clean, hoping to get all of our stuff to fit into the spaces they are allotted a little better.  Wish me luck!
