I am trying to catch up for NaPoWriMo, but I’m not 100% sure I’m going to make it. I do have a number of new poems though, so even if I don’t make the 30 poems this month, I still win because I have those. Anyway, here’s one of my latest poems for NaPoWriMo.
Oneiroi
On a sea of liquid dreams I float
a sailor of great renown
The ship then heaves, I tumble down
to find my feet and fly away
into a velvet sky.
An explorer from the inner world
a landscape from my own mind
I find the treasures hidden there
those secrets that all may see
Just close your eyes and there you’ll be.
Am I awake in this world of dreams
or are these dreams my waking world
But I may never know
so on I sail in the sky below
to look for what I already know.
