That letter. My deepest damnation and my greatest blessing. My condemnation and my salvation. That letter started me on this path. Brought me to this place where I destroy all to save even more. So often so certain of where I am. Who I am. What I must do. Now I pause. Uncertain for the first time on this journey. Must I obliterate to redeem? Must I annihilate to protect? I do not want to be the hated redeemer. The loathed master. Yet what other choice do I have? Nay, I have not had any choice. Not since that letter.
